Seamless Integration with Monitoring and Management Systems:
In addition to increasing database scalability, capacity, performance and power,
the D2500 now integrates with existing monitoring and management systems by leveraging
the industry-standard Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) for generating alerts and events.
This integration provides customers with more comprehensive support for the overall management
of mission-critical infrastructures.
Widespread Storage Compatibility:
With the added support for Oracle's Oracle Cluster File System 2 (OCFS2),
the D2500 has the capability to create and manage every major type of storage
technology for Oracle RAC, regardless of whether it is iSCSI clustered file systems
such as OCFS2, ASM, NFS/NAS, or SAN/Fibre Channel. The new unified storage management
interface removes the need for extensive training and storage expertise for DBAs, making
it simpler to deploy these cutting-edge technologies.
Broader Support for Oracle:
The D2500's added support for 64-bit Oracle on Linux takes advantage of the latest
generation high performance processors and large memory configurations.
Support for newer versions of Oracle 10gR2 allows customers to stay ahead of the curve on
